# FreePascal / Lazarus Example

Hello everybody,

I’m facing the task of porting my Mapwindow- / Access- / vba- to another platform, to get away from licence issues.

Currently there are two platfoms (C# and FreePascal/Lazarus) under discussion.

So here’s my question: is there kind of basic tutorial or basic example out there to get me started?

Good morning,

for C# i would think, that MapWindow ([Releases · MapWindow/MapWindow5 · GitHub](https://github.com/MapWindow/MapWindow5/releases/)) by itself should be a very good start, - complete application implementing most of the commonly used functions.
