In the mean time, you might consider using a Standard point symbol, being a small dot, and adding a Label, being a large single character, with no offset (AutoOffset = False) so that it is rendered on top of the small dot. Then it would still appear as a Font symbol, but it would be a label that could scale.

Yes. We are already using same solution from long back.By using this solution, Sometimes labels are missing that time we are unable to place the new point feature with label. So, to avoid this type of problems we have requested font rotation using expression functionality.
before raising the point rotation request we have discussed with you regarding the Font symbol scaling based on map scale. That time you have requested some more details regarding scaling, but we are unfortunately not provided the details. That is purely my mistake. If we provide those details definitely we can see that functionality now. No problem. We will wait for the enhancement.
