Have anything happen if I use VS2013 with MapWinGIS v5.2.
MapWinGIS v5.2 can compiled by VS2013?

I don’t remember specifically, but I think the problems would be related to the c-runtime compatibility.

If it helps, you can get the Community Edition of VS2017 for free, and build it there.
